I dont get why you are so passionate about scaring ppl away from a life saving device, probably the greatest invention ever which will save millions of lives over coming decades… Just seems strange is all.

the AP got this one wrong (no surprise there). First of all, it’s not “far more expensive than traditional cigarettes”. The ONLY way to come to that conclusion is to compare the price of an e-cig *starter kit* to the price of a pack of normal cigs — and that is an unfair comparison, because one need not buy an entire starter kit every time he needs more smokes. In reality, e-cigs easily work out to be much cheaper than the real tobacco ones.

Secondly, most people don’t know this, but nicotine isn’t the most addictive substance in tobacco. It gets all the press because it makes up 90% of all the alkaloids in tobacco, but that other 10% does make a real difference. There are a number of e-smokers that say e-cigs don’t provide the satisfying buzz that tobacco does — and that is because tobacco contains MAOIs (a form of anti-depressant) that e-cigs don’t. And we all know anti-depressants are habit-forming.

Just do the research for yourself, and NEVER blindly believe the media. NEVER.

Forgot to mention — you can even get e-cigs that don’t contain nicotine, in case you’re only addicted to the physical hand-to-mouth motion or the social aspect of smoking.

Fuck that….regardless of what the risks may be it looks like the E-cig its better than a regular cigarette being that it doesn’t damage your lungs like a normal, smoke emitting, cancer stick would……ima try this.

I bought a sample e-cig and in the two days I have been using it I have mysteriously smoked half as many Marlboro’s. I can see this as a very easy way to quit.

ya i use to smoke 1 pack a day paying $5-7/pack $150+/month now i spend about $40/month on liquid. how is that more expensive? Not to mention that when I started I used 24mg now i use a 6mg probably in a month or so I am only going to vape 0mg thats 0 nicotine and only flavor. (but i will still drink coffee

have you ever inhaled smoke from a smoke machine? congrats, you have inhaled a higher dosage of PG than what is in an E-cig.

Have you brushed your teeth with a name-brand toothpaste? congrats, you have put PG into your mouth, and it used to be used as a food additive before HF-corn syrup

also, they have pumped PG in the air in children wards to cut down on contagions

PG in and of itself in the doses in e-cigs and everything else it is in is not harmful, studies have been done on rats

ah the WHO, who has been proven in several cases to have LIED about findings and MISREPRESENTED studies to condemn second hand smoke and make it seem much much worse than it is. i should go dig up my old paper i did on second hand smoke, e-cigs, and the benefits of nicotine :-p

Actually man the company I buy from actually manufacture it’s products within the states. Regulation is needed with any potentially dangerous chemical such as nicotine, but not extreme taxes such as cigarette tobacco taxes, or altogether bans. No offense but when used in moderation it is completely more safe than cigarettes are…

First off you don’t have to worry about diminished lung capacity as you would if you were inhaling tar/smoke, and risk of mouth/throat/ or lung cancer is gone as well. I have seen a lot of bs about chemicals in this that can cause cancer, and all that is, is rumors and completely untrue. Perhaps if you buy something manufactured overseas where unsafe chemicals are being used in the plastics then I could see that.

There are three things used in the one I use, propylene glycol, flavors, and nicotine that is is. Not one of these agents are carcinogenic.

Ask any doctor are scientist. Any way you look at it E cigs are way safer than regular cigs.

Anyone who wants to know if they are good I can tell you they work. You wont stink anymore, you wont be killing yourself anymore, you still get nicotine, and the pleasure of puffing , and you can smoke in the hospital if you want to. no more going outside. on top of that you will save big money. I know because I bought this for my wife and she couldn’t quit, but hasn’t smoked A real cig, every since.

gotta say very smart and im glad about how every one knows its better then real ciggs but the testing part isnt to great its also proven animal testing is more than likely false but by now the and the facts alone up to now whats it been 5 or so months since i herd of it prove it to be awsome no more second hand smoke for me =)

e ciggs rule hopfully the price tag will come down a bit 80 or so would be fine and open up alot more potential buyers and keep younger generations from trying it
